My sweet little garden!

I know I haven't posted in ages, but here is a little post about my garden... Since we are renting a house for right now and since it has a really nice yard I chose not to dig up the nice yard, and have planted all my plants in pots! It has worked out great so far and is much easier to keep the weeds down! I planted Romain Lettuce, Tomatoes, Banana Peppers, Yellow Squash, Mint, Rosemary, and Basil!

So at the moment I am having trouble loading pictures on my blog... I will post this for now and promise to get some pics loaded as soon as I can!

What we did this weekend!

This weekend the weather was SOOOO beautiful! I had planned on just working inside the house and Danny had planned on picking up the sticks and branches that had fallen in our yard from the snow and also he thought about maybe painting our mailbox, so it would look nice as I am sure it has looked in former days. Well, when I looked outside and saw Danny picking up sticks in the back yard I got kinda jealous and decided to go outside and help him. We wound up racking/blowing the whole backyard! At the beginning of Fall we raked the whole front yard once the trees had lost all their leaves, but by the time we finished that we were burnt out on raking and never did the back yard... So, it really needed it! It was so nice to be able to work outside again! Our little dog Emmy stayed out there with us the whole time and barked at us and also ran thru the piles of leaves and wanted to play Frisbee and ball the whole time! It was quite funny!

Having fun with the blower! And yes I know I am dressed horribly! I am sure everyone driving by was thinking, Good grief that poor girl doesn't know how to match her clothes! Oh well!

I so didn't believe Weather.com!, and my perfect Valentines weekend!

More than once this year Weather.com has promised us that we would get snow... Well, the day snow was forecasted for would usually dawn bright and sunny and WAY to warm for snow, or else it would rain like it was trying to wash GA off the map! But on February 12, 2010 snow finally came to Perry and Weather.com was RIGHT! It started snowing fairly early that morning at my Mom's house in Elko, so I was like " I had better head over there if I want to see any snow, cause I doubt it will make it to my house in Perry!" So, that is what I did! I didn't have any children to keep that day, so I went to Mom's house to relax! When the snow finally started to stick it was so pretty and everything looked so clean and white! Oh, and just for the record, it did snow in Perry too! Here are a few pics of our snow!!!

At the start of the week I was having a rough day and my sweet, precious husband brought me home a beautiful rose to cheer me up!!! It was so pretty and I wanted to take a picture of it with my beautiful rings my husband gave me! So here they are!

This was just a start to a perfect first Valentines for Danny and I as Newly Weds!

Before heading out to start our Valentines weekend Danny gave me a dozen BEAUTIFUL light pink rosebuds!!! They were soooo precious! We then left the house and headed to Kohls to find some new tennis shoes for both of us! We both found great deals on some really nice shoes! We then went out to dinner... Danny asked me to close my eyes while he drove to our restaurant so he could surprise me! When I opened my eyes we were at my favorite Thai restaurant! I had some very yummy Panang( Thai Curry with chicken) and Danny had Chicken and Steak from the Habatchi! We then went to the Mall to walk around for awhile to let our food settle and then headed over to Cold Stone for some Delicious ice cream!

On Sunday ( the official Valentines Day) We both opened cards from each other and I gave Danny some new cologne... Acqua Di Gio by Giorgio Armani! I have said for years, since the first time I smelled this AMAZING cologne that someday I would get my husband a bottle of it for Valentines Day! Needless to say Danny smelled WONDERFUL!!!! We went to my parents house, after church, for a nice lunch and some fun fellowship with friends and family... Then later on that evening we went to Danny's parents house to watch TV and Movies! So Our very first Valentines Day weekend was Amazing and Perfect!

Fun in Jacksonville!

It has been way to long since my last post! I have been meaning to post about our day trip to Jacksonville for awhile now... So, here it is!

Danny and I met my best friend Stephanie and her Fiance B J in Jacksonville for a day of fun, fellowship, some yummy food, and pictures! Stephanie and B J braved the cold windy weather for me to take their engagement pictures! My sweet husband, stood out in the cold and mist with us and held all the stuff I wasn't using at the time. We tromped through the woods until we found the perfect spots! It was so much fun! They were so much fun to photograph and as an added treat Stephanie took a few pictures of Danny and I together!

It is so precious to see my best friend so in love! To see how much B J loves her is, *sigh*, so sweet!

Things have been kinda crazy since our wedding day! I don't have many wedding day pictures yet, but I do have our Honeymoon pictures! We went to the wonderful Amelia Island, and had a very relaxing special time together... It was perfect and we couldn't have asked for better weather for the four days we spent there. The food we ate was wonderful, and everything was just beautiful! So enough rambling... Here are some of my favorite pics from Amelia!

Oh how time flies... This is going to be a short post, but I felt like I needed to take the time to do it! In three days I will be the new Mrs. Daniel Deal!!!!!!!!!! I can't believe my wedding day in upon me already! The excitement level in my house is unreal! All of our out of town family is coming tomorrow as well as some friends! I am so ready!!!!!!!!

I was looking through some pictures last night and came across the ones from this spring when I went to the beach with our neighbors and two of my siblings! We all went to Amelia Island in Florida! It was my first time going there and I instantly fell in love with the place!!!! Everything about the island was so pretty! I had the best time trying to capture the beauty around me with photography! I love the ocean, the sand, the smell, the birds, the sea oats, the beach houses, pretty much everything about the beach! Time sure does have a way of getting away from you! Things have been so busy since my engagement! It is so awesome to see how the Lord is providing for Danny and I when it comes to things we need! The Lord has provided us with an awesome little house to rent and it has been amazing how He has provided us with all the furniture we needed to fill our new house! It has been such a blessing to get the house ready for us to live in... We have done allot of yard work, as well as cleaned the inside really good, and now we are moving things in and decorating! I never imagined how much fun decorating my own place would be! My favorite part out of all the work we have done was the day Danny and I planted flowers together in our flower beds!

Well, I think I am going to just post some pics of things that have been going on in the past weeks since my last post. I will try to not be so long in updating next time!

Praise the Lord!!!! He is Risen!!!!! What a glorious day Sunday was... The weather was perfect to celebrate the day our Savior conquered death and was risen from the dead! Oh, the peace we can now have knowing that we can live with Him someday because of the sacrifice He made for us!!! Thank you Father!!!!

Last night March 31, my boyfriend Danny asked me to marry him!!!!! Already knowing he had my parents full approval I eventually said yes!!!!! The reason I say eventually is that when he asked me I was so speechless that he had to ask me twice before I was able to squeak out a "Yes"!!! I am so blessed to have such a God fearing man, who is trusting that Lord to help us have a good marriage, a man who prays with me daily, a man who searches the scripture and is open to learning and hearing what the Lord is trying to teach and tell him!!!! I am excited to start this new stage of my life with this precious man! I am so thankful to the Lord for putting Danny in my life! My prayers have been answered beyond what I thought was possible!!!! Please keep us in your prayers as we move forward in this new adventure!

Signs of Spring!

It starts off with just a faint purple haze... Then as the days go by the haze turns brighter and you see that the haze is really beautiful purple flowers on the many Redbud trees in our woods! They are always some of the first things to bloom! So here are a few pics to encourage you that Spring is really on the way! Even if we still do have some pretty cold days and have to dress like Chase did the other day when she wanted to play outside!

I am sorry it has been so long since I have updated my blog! Things sure can get crazy and time tends to fly by during those times. The Lord has been good though... Chase is doing well and with the help of a speech therapist her speech is getting clearer! In January I went on a 16 day trip to Colorado to visit some wonderful friends! It was a good time of rest and relaxation! The mountains were beautiful and I enjoyed snow shoeing as well as eating at some GREAT restaurants and shopping!

When I returned we had a couple of weeks of beautiful weather before it turned cold again... It is so nice when the Lord gives us encouraging warm days to let us know Spring is on the way! Chase and I enjoyed playing outside and having a picnic! I will share some pics of the past few weeks .

I got a New Camera!

I recently purchased a new Nikon D60 camera! I have been thinking wanting to start my own small photography business specializing in taking childrens pictures! I am very fortunate to have a small child around all the time to take pictures of! I am posting some pics I have taken around our property... I don't have a ton of new pics to post yet, but promise to post some of Colorado with in the next few weeks! I am leaving to in a few days to go there for a visit! I know it has been forever since I updated my blog! Things have been kinda crazy around my house, but I figured that I needed to at least post some pics from Christmas! It was so fun seeing Christmas through the eyes of a three year old! Chase's excitement over opening gifts and hearing the story of baby Jesus was so fun! She loved playing with the little manger seen I had for her! We had a great time with friends and family on Christmas day... It was a day full of great Christian fellowship! I was also able to go and spend part of my Christmas with Danny and his family! All in all Christmas was a blessing!

I have been waiting for weeks now for the Ginko tree in Chase's front yard to drop it's leaves so I could get some pics of her playing in them!!! It finally dropped them! We had so much fun playing in the leaves! I was able to get some good pics! Even though I don't really enjoy the cold weather, I do enjoy the beautiful colors the Lord paints in the Fall!!!

The other day when I served Chase her lunch Mom gave her chop sticks to eat with instead of a fork! The look on her face was priceless!, but shortly after the look of shocked confusion passed over her face, one of determination and challenge was seen! She worked diligently for about 20 minutes before asking me to help her! The cool part was she was able to get food in her mouth with them before she even asked for my help! :) Here are a few pics we took of her!

I love fall weddings!!!! This year I was privileged to be in a fall wedding!!! My best friend Mary Frances Agnew was married on October 18!!! What a fun and beautiful day!!! It has been so wonderful to be the best friend of such a wonderful and godly lady! The Lord's hand was on this couple from the beginning! It was an honor to be a part of this wedding! Congratulations Mary Fran and Will!!! I Love You Both!!!!

October 14 was Chase's 3rd birthday!!!!!! Boy, was she very excited when I picked her up that morning!!!!! I think she reminded me and everyone she saw every 10 minutes that it was her birthday!!!! To Cute! We made cupcakes with pink icing and star sprinkles!!!! She was so excited that she got to help, and then we had a great time playing! I got her a pair of adorable rubber boots to wear outside and down to the barn!!! She was thrilled and loved them!!!! What a blessing to be able to help make Chase's special day fun!!! I Love You Chase!!!!

I am very blessed to live about 3 miles from one of the worlds best and largest fairs ever!!!!!!! It has everything from rides to arts and crafts exhibits to horses, cows, pigs, sheep, goats, a wonderful petting zoo, more unhealthy food than you would ever be able to eat, tons of venders selling so many different kinds of things from all over the world, and it also has a Circus!!! What an exciting day it was to take Chase to experience all this!!!! It was so fun to watch her little face light up in wonder over the different tricks at the circus... To see her eyes sparkle with excitment over the animals at the petting zoo... Then to see the peaceful look on her face after she fell asleep in her stroller while I looked at all the seamingly boring things for her!!! All in all we had a wonderful fun filled day!!!! The only thing we didn't do was ride the rides... Her Daddy and Mommy took her to them!!! To which I was very thankful... I am not to fond of rides, but would have taken her to them had her parents not been able to!!!!! Thank you Lord for the wonderful weather and time you gave us this week for the fair!!!!!

Visit to the hay field!!!!

This post is about a week and a half over do... My computer was being worked on and I just got it back!!! Last week I took Chase and my cousin Josh to the hay field where my brother was working so they could have a ride in the " BIG" tractor!!!! We had so much fun taking our rides and then watching the hay baler!!!! It was so pretty and peaceful out in the hay field... Plus there was a wonderful breeze and the smell of fresh cut hay was just heavenly!!!! It was such a blessing to sit under a shade tree and watch the wonder on Chase's face as she took it all in!!! She had never seen such big tractors and she loved running in the big field!!!

Monday, September 1 was my first day keeping Chase full time!!!!!! I was so excited!!!!! I went and picked her up at 8:45 am and when I walked in the door she came running and squealing through the house so excited to see me!!!!! My family was having a Labor Day party at our house with friends and family, so needless to say we had so much fun!!!! My Grandfather cooked up a bunch of fish and we had tons of other yummy food to go with it!!!! After lunch we had a great time playing outside and some people went swimming in the pond!!! I am posting a few pics of Chase having fun! She had a great time playing with Josh, my cousin!!!! Thank you Josh for playing so nicely with her!!!!! She also got to play the piano with Mary and was excited that Mary helped her play Jesus Loves Me!!!!!

My family and I had the awesome privilege of spending Tuesday evening with a wonderful Christian family!!! The Morris family has been huge source of encouragement to me for many years!!! It is so nice to get to spend an evening with a family who loves the Lord and who have children who are respectful and are striving to grow in their spiritual walks also!!!! Thank you Lord for good friends!!!! Here are some pics of some of us while we were making bread on a stick!!!! It was pretty fun!!!!

It is OFFICIAL!!!!!!!!!!! I am going to start keeping Chase full time on Monday, September 1!!!!!!
The Lord has blessed me so much and I can't wait to start keeping this precious child!!!!! I would ask for everyones prayers... One of the main reasons Chase's grandmother and parents want me to keep her full time is that she is behind in her speech and in some other areas. She seems to do so much better with one on one teaching. It is my desire that the Lord will use me to help this little girl, and also be able to teach her more about Jesus!!! I have already been able to teach her some simple songs about the Lord!!! Another blessing is that they want me to keep her until she starts real school! So that means for like the next three years I will have the opportunity to influence her for the Lord!!! So, please keep me and Chase in your prayers as we begin this great new adventure together!!!

The past couple of weeks the Lord has really been teaching me to trust Him fully with everything in my life! I was asked about a month ago if I would be interested in keeping Chase full time instead of just two days a week, like I had all summer! I told Chase's Grandma that I needed to pray about it and I would get back to her... So I took a week to pray and think it over, and the Lord gave me such peace about taking this full time job! So I told her Grandma I would be glad to keep her! Well, Mrs. Bev ( Chases Grandma ) talked with Chase's parents and I found out last week that it was a definite YES that they would love for me to keep her!.. I was so excited and couldn't wait to start the following week... But as I am learning, not everything runs as smooth as I would want it to go!!! Austin, ( Chase's Dad ) called me to let me know that the day care Chase was going to required a 30 day notice before pulling the child out of their program! BIG CHANGE OF PLANS!!!!!!! I was nice and calm on the phone while Austin was telling me all this, but boy let me tell you when I hung up with him I started to panic!!!!! What was I going to do?! I had my car insurance coming up I needed to pay, I had promised my sister I would take her to the beach for a weekend, I have to pay for gas, my AAA was expiring and needed renewed, I have a bridesmaids dress to pay for, plus I need to get it altered... I tell you peoples I was a mess!!!!!! So I started praying!!!!!! I told the Lord... " I don't know why in the world all this is happening, but I know I need to trust you!!! Please Father give me peace about all this and help me to know you are going to take care of me!!!" I got out my bible and opened it up and there are so many scripture verses in there about the Lord taking care of His children!!! Well, a few days later Dad came to me and said " Let me call Gieco and see if I can get you a cheaper rate on your car insurance." After calling them and getting a quote he asked me how much I was paying the other company and it turned out to be about 200 dollars cheaper to go with Gieco, plus they have a road side service plan for only a dollar a month and it is a better plan than AAA!!!!!! PRAISE THE LORD!!!!! Then my friend who's wedding I am going to be in told me that because Davids Bridal messed up and didn't order our dresses when they told us they would, they gave us another discount on the dresses and the price is drastically lower than I was expecting!!! Now for the best part of it all... I got a phone call from Mrs. Bev today... She wanted to let me know that Austin had talked to Chase's day care about giving 30 days notice and found out there was a long waiting list to get into the school... So, in stead of making us wait 30 days, we only have to wait 2 weeks before she is allowed out!!!!! I was Praising the Lord!!!!!!!! So now I can take Mary to the beach!!!!!!! God is SO GOOD!!!!!!! I hope by reading this rather long post that you will be encouraged!!!! The Lord Loves You and will ALWAYS take care of You!!!!! It might not always work out how you want it to, but He will make sure that you are taken care of!!!! Matthew 6:34 says... Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own troubles.

I was walking out to the pasture this morning to feed my horses and I happened to glance to the side of the well worn path between the barn and the pasture and noticed this beautiful little cluster of purple flowers... I am not talking about just a small cluster of flowers, I mean a really tiny cluster of flowers!! So I stopped to look at them closer. What I saw amazed me!!! Here in the midst of all the weeds and dead grass was a masterpiece that my Lord had created!!! All the tiny little flowers were so detailed and perfect!!! As I was looking at them it was like the Lord spoke to me through His handiwork and said... I can make the tiniest of flowers perfect and beautiful, trust Me to make you into a beautiful masterpiece to! I am so thankful for the tiniest of reminders that the Lord loves me and wants to help me to grow and be more like Him!!! I did get some pictures of the flowers and I hope you are able to tell how incredible they really are! My prayer for whoever decides to read this post is that you will let the Lord make you into one of His wonderful and beautiful masterpieces to!!!

I was keeping my sweet Chase the other day, and after playing tea party, reading some books and blowing bubbles out side we came inside for some play time before lunch! Chase was playing qietly on the floor with her baby dolls and I was working on the computer... After awhile I felt the presence of a little girl leaning against my leg... I looked down in to her sweey face and she was rubbing her belly... She sweetly said," I Humry Isa!" Well I scooped that precious little girl up and gave her a hug and we then went right downstairs for some lunch!!! It was 12pm after all! I did feed her a good lunch before the pudding, but had to take some pics of her eating her dessert!! She was just sooo cute!!!!

A look at my summer...

As I look back on the adventures of my summer I am so blessed to have many pictures of the precious children I took care of!!! My days were spent swimming, playing outside, reading bible stories, having tea parties, going to the barn to see the horses, playing with the kittens and playing dress up... That includes dressing the dog up!! I have had a wonderful summer and am so thankful to the Lord for all He has given me!

The most used quote this summer was from Robert, and it was... " Thats so classic!" It was very funny most of the time he used it, because he would say it at a time when the situation wasn't classic... His sister would then say... " Robert! This isn't the time to say that!"... Then later in the day when something classic would happen Mary Claire would say... " Now you can say it Robert!" He would then get this BIG GRIN on his face and say while laughing uncontrollably... " THAT'S SOOO CLASSIC!!!!" My summer would have been so boring with out those children!

The Joys of Waiting...

I have once again been reminded how the Lord wants me to trust Him as I wait to hear from people concerning my nanny jobs for Fall thru Spring! I am waiting to hear back from people to see if the jobs I set up for this Fall thru Spring are still going to work out! I don't know why I worry... The Lord has all this under control and He knows what is going to work out!

I was reading in Matthew 6 today... Matthew 6:34 say- Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it's own things. Sufficient for the day is it's own troubles.

I had learned this verse as a child, but it was such a good reminder that the Lord has things under control and I just need to rest in Him!

I have spent my summer keeping three wonderful children... Mary Clarie 9, and Chris and Robert 7!!! They have been so much fun and a blessing to be around!!! I kept them on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and we had so much fun taking walks to the park going swimming at the pool, visiting my house and swimming in the pond, going to Monkey Joes, and so much more!!! I am sad to say, but also over joyed, that this summer was the last summer I will be nannying them! Their Mother quit her job to come home to be with her wonderful children!!!! I am so happy for her! I have been reassured that I will still be called on to babysit in the evenings and on some weekends when Mom and Dad want to go away for some alone time!!! Even though it is hard not nannying them all the time now I am always so happy when the Lord brings the Momma home to her children!!!

Ok so this is my first try at having a blog of my own!!!
I hope you will be patient with me as I learn how to use this thing!
I thought it would be fun, and encouraging to share with others the ministry I have with children by being a nanny!!! It is a challenging and wonderful job!!! The Lord has blessed me in so many ways with the families I work for and I would like to share it all with you!!! As many of you know children are such blessings and they say and do so many wonderful things... So my desire is to share my experiences with you in hopes of brightening your day or encouraging you in some way! I will also be using this blog to share things like my missions trips also... Pretty much anything that I do where I am working with children of all ages! The youngetst ones I work with are just teeny babies all the way up to the youth I work with at church!!!
